3D Data Guidance Technology now Accredited Australian Agent
for U.S.-Based Carlson Software

KÖLN, Germany (October 6, 2010) — 3D Data Guidance Pty. Ltd. of Queensland, Australia, has recently been appointed an Australian agent of the U.S.-based company, Carlson Software. Carlson develops technically advanced software and integrated hardware providing full project life cycle solutions to the land development professional.

David Hall and Cameron Voss, who head up 3D Data Guidance, will undertake the sales and marketing of Carlson Software to new customers in Australia. This includes demonstrating the features and benefits of Carlson’s high precision GPS machine guidance systems for a wide range of mining equipment.

Carlson’s software packages include productivity reporting, drill pad preparation, and other mining modules in addition to software that directly connects foreman’s vehicles to the mining machines. All data is backed up to a dedicated data centre.

Hall and Voss bring a combined 30 years experience in the industry of GPS design and manufacture, equipment operation, surveying, survey control of GPS-enabled earthmoving equipment, dozer blade design, earthwork design, and engineering to this new endeavour with Carlson.

“We are pleased to represent Carlson Software offering a complete system for mining machine control and productivity analysis,” said Hall. “Carlson is working with us closely as we migrate to support their existing customer base as well as providing solutions for new clients. There are several new products and services we are excited to announce in the coming months.”

Carlson Software specialises in CAD design software, field data collection, and machine control products for the land surveying, civil engineering, construction, landfill solid waste and mining industries worldwide. Carlson Software has the largest, most flexible GNSS library in the world supporting receivers from all major manufacturers. As part of its dedication to customer service, Carlson remains one of the few companies to provide free technical support.

“Carlson has a large and dedicated customer base in Australia,” said Bruce Carlson, president and founder of Carlson Software, “and we look forward to working closely with David and Cameron to meet the varied GPS and software needs of the mining industry. The new products and service will be a welcome advance in site connectivity and analysis.”

3D Data Guidance will offer both Carlson-branded complete systems and also promote “Open Position Architecture,” allowing clients to utilize Carlson Grade software to use either a GNSS system they already possess, or another brand of their choice.
