New from the 'Muddy Boots Guys'

CG-Survey 9 and CG-Survey 18 are ready for shipping

ATLANTA – Featuring hundreds of improvements to help speed and ease the work of land surveyors, CG-Survey 9 and CG-Survey 18 are now available from Carlson Software. CG, which was founded in 1978, has been a division of Carlson Software since 2001.

Developed by land surveyors for land surveyors, CG software solutions are known for their precise management of the field data and coordinate files, the heart of any surveyor’s project.

Among the top new features of these newest versions of CG-Survey – either for the AutoCAD version, CG-Survey 18, or for CG-Survey 9 with AutoCAD on board – are their VISTA and AutoCAD 2008 compatibility, deed reader, point manager, all new lot labeling routines, shrinkwrap, enhanced CG symbol editor, and new polyline tools. In addition, users get the ability to create 3D face from TIN, edit coordinates in spread sheet format and create a Carlson grid file.

CG-Survey 9 and CG-Survey 18 also feature Network Least Squares Adjustment (NLSA). This powerful tool will simultaneously adjust a network of interconnected traverses with any amount of redundancy. The raw data can contain any combination of traverse (angle and distance), triangulation (angle only) and trilateration (distance only), and GPS vectors.  It also can calculate and adjust resections, any combination of distance and angles.

Both of these programs follow in the Carlson tradition of independence and interface to virtually any data collector on the market today. CG and Carlson Software data files are fully compatible, with all drawings being the industry-standard AutoCAD DWG format.

“The CG Division of Carlson has worked hard on this new release that has exciting new features that will benefit all our clients and definitely make their jobs a little easier,” said Dean Goodman, the “G” in CG Software. “As we start the new year, we thank all our CG clients for their continued support and look forward to working with them in the future.”
